Groups exist to bring glory to God and make to Him known in their communities. Our Community are to be the people we go on mission with, the people who pray for us, compel us, challenge us and speak into us to keep Jesus, the Gospel and Christ’s mission central in our lives. As a church, we have found that the best way we can help you go deeper in your relationship with Jesus is to facilitate Community Groups.
Made up of men and women from all generations of life, these groups meet throughout the week for fellowship, serving, care, prayer, accountability, sharing stories and studying God’s Word. They’re a place where we work to consider each other over ourselves. No group is perfect, and no two groups are exactly the same. We don’t expect them to be. Because people are messy, groups are messy.
Once a Quarter we host an event called the Community Group Kickoff. This is an event intended for newcomers to meet community group leaders, but most importantly have a good time while making new friends at the church. The Kickoff is a great first step for you to get connected here at Cumberland. The next Kickoff is January 24, 2016 at 6:00pm. We will be providing food and childcare. Please Click here to RSVP
If the next Kickoff is a few months away, but you are ready to get plugged into a group today you can:
- Search for a group in your area by using the MAP
- Or you can filter the results by Meeting Day HERE
- When you find a group that you are interested in simply email the facilitator and ask for more details about their group.
