Here at Cumberland, we believe that God equips the Church with everything it needs as made clear by Paul when he wrote, “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11–12). Everyone has a place and a role to serve in ministry, and we would love to help you find that place here at Cumberland. Below you will find a video of Alan talking about the overall vision at Cumberland as well as the concept of the Roundabout. As you go through our volunteer listings, you can also watch our SERVE videos to find out more about each area of ministry.

Teaching:
Starting at the age of 2 our children are taught a lesson that highlights three basic truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Our curriculum comes from the ReThink Group and is taught weekly utilizing volunteers with drama, teaching, musical and artistic talents.
Administration:
Kids Ministry is heavy with paperwork, record keeping, and other important administrative duties. If you are bent more towards the office side of life, we could use your expertise in this area!
Classroom Maintenance:
Lots of little people use our classrooms and the things that go in them. We need weekly help checking the toys for damage, stocking the snacks, and up keeping the general appearance of our rooms.
Supervisor/Leadership:
We are constantly looking for and praying for that next great leader! There are supervising positions available weekly, where you can hone your leadership skills, take initiative with the volunteers who serve on your week, and really make a difference in Kids Ministry!
Curriculum/Lesson Preparation:
Lesson and classroom preparations are needed on a weekly basis to carry out teaching effectively. Craft preparations, game preparations, prop collections, costumes, cleaning, etc. are just a few things that happen during the week to get ready for a Sunday. We can use all the hands we can get to make those pieces fall into place for the big day and to utilize our curriculum to its fullest extent.

Bulletin Folding Volunteers:
Each week a volunteer folds and/or stuffs the Sunday bulletins. This is a vital component to Sunday mornings and should not be overlooked. You are welcome to serve our church family within this capacity either by folding the bulletins in the church offices or in the comfort of your own home.
Office/Admin Volunteers:
During the week, the church office thrives on active volunteers. If you are available during the day and would like to come in and help administratively or if you’d like to be contacted when needs arise, let us know. We’d love to have you!
Newcomers Lunch Volunteers:
Every quarter we invite people who have been attending Cumberland for the last few months to enjoy a free lunch with the staff and elders. This is a great opportunity to relax, ask questions and simply fellowship with us. On the flip side of the coin, volunteers are very much needed to help organize this lunch. We are currently looking for someone to be a team leader for these events and wear the hat of an “event coordinator.” If you’re interested, contact Kacy Fabie.
Greeting Team Ministry Volunteers:
The most important ministry in the church-The Greeting Ministry. Every Sunday morning your first impression of CCC is made by a friendly, joyful, greeter. Here are some of the roles of a CCC Greeter: holding the doors open at the church entrance, welcoming visitors at the welcome desk, handing-out bulletins before the service, handing out Bibles during the service, ushering late-comers to a seat, etc. Serving under this team is a HUGE privilege and acts as a great way to interact regularly with the church body.
Coffee Ministry Volunteers:
Drink Coffee. Do Good. Make Coffee. Do Good. We brew some of the best coffee in the world and we also have some of the best volunteers in the world to serve it. In a lot of countries, people gather for “coffee-breaks” in order to take time to be relational with one another, and this is exactly what we want to do in driving this ministry–relationships. If you have a heart for hospitality, this would be a great way for you to serve.
